Prevention Research Center Latino Health Network

Goals & Objectives

To act as a resource center for organizations that aim to promote physical activity and general well-being in the Latino community.

  • To identify and network with CDC Prevention Research Centers and other health promotion agencies that share our vision of promoting physical activity and well-being in the Latino community.
  • To identify culturally appropriate assessment tools and interventions related to physical activity.
  • To disseminate information about evidence-based physical activity interventions for Latinos.

To offer guidance in creating culturally appropriate recommendations for physical activity measures and interventions for Latino communities.

  • To provide technical assistance on how to develop culturally appropriate measures and interventions targeting the promotion of physical activity and other healthy lifestyle behaviors for the Latino community.
  • To recommend evaluation criteria and approaches for promoting physical activity and other healthy lifestyle behaviors for the Latino community.
